Music for People is a worldwide community dedicated to the belief that all people are inherently musical, creative, and capable of authentic, spontaneous expression. We enable holistic music making for people of all ages and levels of experience.
Our mission is to encourage an accessible and mindful approach to creative expression through improvisation in a safe, joyful, and nonjudgmental atmosphere.
We believe music made in this way is a powerful path to personal and social transformation, artistic freedom, and community building. Music improvisation focusing on play and inclusivity perpetuates acceptance and positive understanding between people.

Flute Haven offers a full week of workshops, recording, classes, performing and performances, presentations, and (most enjoyably) music-making and jamming.
Shruti Boxes provide a rich drone background that supports singing or playing almost any instrument. A Shruti Box is hand-pumped, so you can produce a slightly pulsating constant chord to support the right rhythm for the style of music you are playing.

Michael London is a Philadelphia Area Singer-Songwriter known as a passionate interpreter of Rumi’s poetry, the great 13th century Sufi poet. He offers us a musical window into the ecstatic poems, which reveal and make tangible our connection with the self, humanity, nature and beyond.
Animus is a Philadelphia based World Fusion Music & Dance ensemble led by Bill Koutsouros. Joseph Tayoun, a second generation Lebanese American, is an accomplished Middle Eastern percussionist. He started playing at age eight at his family’s renowned Middle East Restaurant in Philadelphia where live authentic Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Armenian, Greek, and Israeli music and dance were performed nightly for forty years.
Jaffna, comprised of Branavan Ganesan, Raji Malik, Joseph Tayoun & Roger Mgrdichian is a Philadelphia-based world music ensemble which combines instrumentation and influences from the Middle East, India, and anywhere else that inspires them.
Phyllis Chapell performs a unique mix of originals, folk, jazz, pop and international music, including songs in up to 13 languages from the U.S., Brazil, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. She performs as a solo artist (vocals/guitar), with her ensemble called Phyllis Chapell & SIORA, and in collaboration with musicians throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region.
She has released multiple CDs and videos—and has won awards and accolades for her recordings and original music.
