West African Drum Classes with Saantis Fenmu Davis are back to happening at Ron’s on Wednesday evenings, 7:30 - 9:30pm. $20 - $15 donation appreciated for Saantis. If a djembe is needed, an abundant selection are available for class use. Any “house” djembe is also for sale. That said, from experience, I only recommend purchasing a drum when you know that you are “hooked” and not on impulse alone.
Masking is your personal choice.
Saantis gives out the different parts of a rhythm and reviews them in every class.
Also, after we get going, he will go around and give anyone who wants to solo a chance to do so. We also just jam to warm up. This class is a mix of beginners and experienced drummers. The class is limited to 12 attendees. If interested, contact ron@musicinthemoment.com
